3 v 3 Basketball Heats Up in Second Week

In this week’s 3 v 3 Indoor Basketball games of the week, the ladies played before the gentlemen, as Channel 4 News Team took on Soph Touch.  In the first game (to nine points), Channel 4’s Brittany Ford contributed 4 points and three assists, while teammate Kate McCarthy added 2 points, and five rebounds.  On the other side of the ball, Kathryn Kaasila scored 1 point, and had 1 assist while teammate, Abby Stephenson also scored a point.  Channel 4 went on to win the first game easily by a score of 9-3.  In the second game, the score was much closer and each team played great basketball.  However, Channel 4 was able to edge out Soph Touch by a score of 10-8 to win the game.
                  In the next game of the week, The Bearded Dragons took on the Trinity.  The Trinity got off to a great start with 6 points and 4 rebounds from Rob Percacciolo and 2 blocks from Chris Chaisson.  The Bearded Dragons played tough though and went on a 4-0 run midway through the game to things up at 7-7.  In the end, The Trinity was able to squeeze out the first game win by a score of 11-8.  In the second game, The Trinity dominated on both offense and defense and capped off the win, 11-5. 
                In the last game of the week, Fredette About It took on Team Ivan.  The game started off quite close, with Cory Domina and Ivan Almedia scoring Ivan’s first five points.  Fredette About It also started well with three points each from Tom Cina and Tom Connolly.  The first game came down to the wire, but was edged out by Team Ivan, 11-7.  The second game was a blow out, as Ivan Almedia accounted for seven of Team Ivan’s points and they went on to win by a final score of 11-2.
