Hello Stonehill Community. Even though the building is under construction and we are not hosting, Hill Rec Sports wants to maintain our cherished relationship with Special Olympics. Please see the information below from Cory Zarella of SOMA Special Olympics. This year they are at Bridgewater State University.

Stonehill College has been a host site and volunteer base for Special Olympics Massachusetts’ (SOMA) Annual Basketball Tournament for over 20 years.  In the past Stonehill was host to more local SOMA teams, and in recent years up to 40 SOMA basketball teams from across the state have been coming to Stonehill’s campus to play in the basketball tournament.  Regardless of what teams are on campus, one thing remains a constant:  The Stonehill College Student Volunteers.

This year the tournament will not be able to be on Stonehill’s campus, but we want to keep one thing the same...the volunteers.  The tournament will be held on Sunday, February 1st at the Tinsley Center at Bridgewater State University from 8a-4p.  There are multiple shifts, and volunteer jobs.  If you are interested in volunteering click to register to volunteer below:
