Flag Football Playoffs Begin With Competitive Games

In Monday’s playoff football action, four teams were in action with a couple looking to extend their unbeaten streaks.  In the first game, Red Bird took on Show Me Your TDs.  With Red Bird entering the game undefeated and Show Me Your TDs with just one loss, this was a very intriguing matchup.
Show me your TDs got things started with the first two touchdowns of the game coming from Wide Receiver, Kyle Mayer.  Red Bird gave their best effort to respond but was stopped on downs and an interception on their opening drives.  Show Me Your TDs ended the first half with a five yard touchdown pass to Conor Green.  The score at halftime was 20-6.
In the second half, Show Me Your TDs continued their dominant play with touchdowns from Kyle Mayer and Brian Sullivan.  Teammate, Christopher Lake also played well, recording 10 tackles (flag strips) in the second half.  Red Bird’s, Dana Brahrawy responded with a touchdown late in the half, but it was too little too late as Show Me Your TDs went on to win by a score of 35-12.
In the second playoff game of the day, The Cheetah Girls squared off against Touchdown There.  TD There’s, Brent Resnik and Josh Orlandella got things going with touchdowns in the early going to get their team off to a 12-0 start.  Cheetah Girls’, David Broderick, hot his team on the score board at the end of the half to narrow the halftime deficit to 20-7.
In the second half, Josh Orlandella added one more touchdown to put his team ahead for good.  Touchdown There won easily by a final score of 27-13.
