Unreal Madrid I and The Hobbits to square off in IM Men's soccer championship

In the first semi final, The Hobbits were able to end K-9 improbable run with a 3-2 overtime victory.  K-9, captained by James Harshaw, had advanced out of the 8/9 playoff game, then beaten one of the overall top seeds Joga Bonita to get to the semi’s.  Goals by Jeff Crehan and Joe Gonsalves, gave k-9 the 2-1 halftime lead, as the Hobbits Richard Mullen potted the team’s lone first half marker.  Sean Lynch, would score early in the second half, and the two teams would head to sudden death overtime to decide the victor.  Is wasn’t long into overtime when Sean Keeley would provide the heroics, scoring the goal that would propel his team into Tuesday night’s final.

In the second semi-final, favorites Unreal Madrid and Bloodbath and Beyond battled to a 0-0 first half stalemate.   The second half saw  much more offensive fireworks, as Roger brown’s two goals, coupled with single goal’s by Geoffrey Elliot and Mark Bolster provided the 4-2 margin of victory.  Wes Nelson and Colin Prior scored single goals in the losing effort for Blood Bath and Beyond.
