In Thursday’s feature game of the week, Blazin’ Ballers took on Pink Ladies.  A close game from the start, Blazin’ Ballers had the biggest lead in the half at four points.  Ballers player, Kendel Collins, led her team with 5 points and Pink Ladies Maggie Carmona and Kathryn Kaasila each had 6 points.  The score at halftime was 16-14 in favor of Pink Ladies.  In the second half, both teams traded the lead and with the game down to the wire, Blazin’ Ballers, Carolyn Moodie made a key free throw to ensure her team a 26-25 victory.
In the other Women’s game of the night, Victorious Secret competed against Swag.  After getting off to an 11-0 lead, Victorious Secret kept the pressure on, with five steals in the first half.  After Victorious Secret’s offensive onslaught in the first half they never looked back, capping off a huge 63-27 win.  Leading all scorers was Sam Krantz who had 22 points in the game.  Swag’s Amy Wheaton had 13, including two three-pointers.
In Men’s DI action, The Lexington Stealers took on Tune Squad.  Never trailing in the game, Tune Squad dominated throughout.  Tune Squad’s leading scorer was Ryan Fitzgibbon who had 17 points in the game.  Jamal Johnson had 11 for the Lexington Stealers.  The final score of the game was 48-29.
In the other Men’s DI game, Red Bird took on Poundtown.  A back and forth game was highlighted by a great offensive performance by Red Bird’s, Kyle Randall.  Randall had 6 three-pointers in the game, and went 6-for-7 from the free throw line for 24 points.  Despite their efforts to put together a comeback, Poundtown were unable to reduce the 23-20 halftime deficit as Redbird would eventually pull a way to a 46-28 win.
In the lone DII game of the night, Three’s Company took on Premature Shooters.  Three’s Company players, Kyle Weeks and Tim Rose combined for 13 points in the first half, leading their team to a 17-10 first half lead.  In the second half, Premature Shooters Ryan Newell and Mickey Miela tried to lead their team to a comeback, tying their opponents with just two minutes to play.  But unfortunately, costly turnovers and wild shots allowed Three’s Company to close out the game, 35-27.
