Bag of Quarters, Flamesbury’s Offensive Explosions propel teams into Men’s Semi’s
Captain Steve Zanetti and his Bag of Quarters team scored a resounding 18-9 victory over Chest in the Men’s Quarterfinals on the Rec Fields Thursday afternoon. Chris Gorovitz, Shane Caffrey and Matt Gemme, each scored 3 runs as Bag of Quarters would tally five runs in the 5th inning and 7 more in the 6th to blow open a close game.
In the second quarterfinal of the day, Captain Chris Northrup and Flamesbury scored 15 runs in the first three innings and then cruised to a 17-14 victory over OFF constantly. Pat McKenna led the run parade, scoring three times on the day while everyone in the line-up scored at least once for the victors.
In Wednesday’s Men’s quarterfinal action, Team Salty would jump out to a 13-4 lead after 4 innings and hang on to a 13-12 victory over Sheehan Basement Elite, while Surprise me would dominate Boy Meets World 14-8 in the other Quarterfinal game.
In Co-Rec Semi-final action Sara Batt and Tim Rose would score twice each from the 1/2 position in the line-up to spark the captain Anthony Black’s Tigers to a 12-2 victory over the Boston Ball Wackers Thursday.
