Off Constantly opens Softball season with crushing defeat of Extinguishers

Captain Dan Carducci and Off Constantly opened the softball season in style with a 17-7 thrashing of Extinguishers, Tuesday on the Rec Fields.  Trailing 3-2 after one and 5-3 after two innings the bats awoke for Carduccis team as they scored three in the third to tie the game at 6.  5 more runs in the top of the fifth, couple with 5 more in the top of the six enabled Off Constantly to pull away, winning by the ten run rule.  John Gomes and Craig Scardapene, led the offense with 3 runs scored apiece, while a staunch team defense held the Extinguishers to 2 runs over the last three innings.
