Baz, Me-ow, score resounding victories in IM Indoor Soccer Women’s Quarterfianls

First round IM indoor soccer playoff action got under way last night in the Ames Sports Complex with both higher seeded teams advancing.  Baz, Led by 5 goals from Sara Buckley, and 4 goals from Anna Kern, turned a 4-0 halftime lead into a rout over Rugby.  Katherine Wombolt, and Lisa DeGuglielmo each scored for the losers.

In the second Quarterfinal, ME-OW jumped all over the Beardos from the start, to lead 6-0 at the break.  Kristie St. Martin paced the team with 5 goals as the relentless attack would not let up in the second half, finishing with a final score of 13-2.  Morgan Rubnaon and teammate Carrie Devin each added 4 goals apiece for the victors, while Lauren Balla was the lone bright spot for the Beardos with 2 goals on the night.
