Comprised of over 40 players, our largest sport club is a member of the New England Rugby Football Union (NERFU). The team competes in the Eastern Conference of Division II vs. Boston College, Boston University, Bryant University, Wellesley College and Southern Connecticut.

A Championship Tradition

The Women's Rugby team has 3 times claimed victory as the New England Division III Champions, having won the title in '97-'98 and going back-to-back in '06-'07 and '07-'08, which was coupled with their back-to-back collegiate national titles in '06-'07 and '07-'08. In '08-'09 after earning promotion to Division II, the women again won the New England and Northeast Regional championships, only to fall in the national championship game in Stanford, CA.

April 27, 2010 - Alumni Game

The '09-'10 Stonehill Women's Rugby team would like to thank all of their outstanding Alums for their help in making Saturday's Alumni Game such a huge success.  The event's primary goal was to raise money for the team's trip to Florida, but more importantly it brought back all of the ladies who were so instrumental in building the foundation for the success of this year's team and teams to come. Jumping out to a 7-0 lead, the alums were not able to sustain their up-tempo play, and would eventually fall 29-7.  Thank you again ladies, this year would not be possible without you.
